A new Quinnipiac poll shows Obama looking good in 4 key states:

Colorado

Obama-49%
McCain-44%

Michigan

Obama-48%
McCain-42%

Minnesota

Obama-54%
McCain-37%

Wisconsin

Obama-52%
McCain-39%

Notice the big leads in Minn. and Wisc. states where McCain supporters have been thinking he might have a chance...well, perhaps they should think again.

3 of the 4 are blue states he MUST keep if he has any hope.

It's early.

I find #16 interesting.

78% CO, 72% MI, 76% MN, 75% WI are holding steady / getting ahead in terms of their economic situation. Well, HOW can that be? Aren't we on the verge of total collapse/recession/depression?

#15 interesting as well; Iraq

56% CO, 52% MI, 54% MN, 51% WI, favor staying in til stabilized with no fixed date for withdrawal. Notice in each state between dems, rep, indies the DEMS are the only ones willing to surrender and withdrawal immediately.

I agree, but McCain and his supporters have been looking towards Mi., Wisc. and Minn. as possible pick ups. This poll, particularly in the case of the latter two, suggests otherwise.

He only needs to pick-off MI and NH and he wins. He can give Obama VA,CO,IA,NM.

2008 Presidential Election Interactive Map and History of the Electoral College

I love this cite. You can really play with your what-if's.

A latest poll of NH (http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/new_hampshire/election_2008_new_hampshire_presidential_election - broken link) has Obama up by 11%. All of the recent polls of Mi. show Obama leading, though by single digits. The other thing wrong with your scenario is you are going by the assumption that McCain will keep all the other states, except for the ones you cite, that went red in 2004.

I'm a undecided voter

I wouldnt be surprise if either candidate took Michigan this election. Although it was a surprise to see Minnesota and Wisconsin going for Obama with a high percentage. Which also brings me into question about the group who did the polling. I dont see their polling as often as the others.

On the contrary, the poll is extremely informative. I have a suggestion, if you don't think polls mean anything it might be a good idea if you avoided all threads having to do with them. See, problem solved.
