Swapping Biden with Hillary. I think Hillary makes it automatic for Obama in 2012. Biden is ok if he just sticks with trying to get white males. Hillary can get people from every demographic though, and it'll be the dream ticket dems wanted to begin with back in 08.

Swapping Biden with Hillary would be a good idea. But how do you politically get rid of Biden?

Whatever reason would be given for Biden dropping out would be met with extreme skepticism.

No.

Hillary is fine where she's at. Joe Biden is fine where he's at.

Andrew Cuomo/Hillary 2016

or

Hillary/Cuomo '16

Yup, as soon as he does it I see a Biden look-a-like being pushed off a cliff in a TV spot. BUT wait a second. You want Biden to be Secretary of State? Do you not remember the John Roberts confirmation hearings where then Senator Biden talked about a half an hour about baseball without asking a question? I contend that the Secretary of State job is more important than the VP job.

I'd swap Hillary for Obama. But, I'm not a Dem. I think she would be a dynamite VP though, too. And it would set her up for '16.

no, because sec. state is a much more important and high profile position regarding the actual responsibility required than VP.

Clinton is much more effective as Sec. State. VP would be a waste to her talents.

But it isn't going to happen unless Biden decides on his own to step down. As for Hillary I doubt she would play second fiddle to Obama and I don't think there is a lot of love lost between them.

Why do you think Biden being VP applies to white males?

The dems love to inject racism and sexism when talking about their own candidates as well as the republican candidates.
Wouldn't it be great to have woman or a black man as president was heard often during the last election.

How about looking at policy instead. Is it because the neocons in the democratic party are not very different from the neocons in the republican party so race or sex is the deciding factor now?

Keep backing the status quo and you'll get more of the same failed policies. Only the administrations hand picked winners and losers will change.

I AM a Dem, and a few months ago, I would have swapped Hillary for Obama. But, Obama must have realized he was losing his base, cuz he suddenly turned back into a Dem. Now, I really like our chances in 2012 and beyond.

There never was any reason to "dump" Biden, unless he wanted out. He's proven to be a very effective VP.
