The Amero is on the horizon, and the currencies of North America (Mexico, Candada, and the USA) look like they will be brought together by the whim of international bankers at the forefront of the modern era's globaliseation. Is this a good thing, a bad thing, or both?

I think it is bad, and good. If it means the people with the monopolies get richer, and the poor poorer, they will likely reveal themselves, from behind the veils of national pride, prestige, and the like. They already got the money, let them carry on the road they tread. An era of ridiculousness is now, and the cure for it can only be radicalness.

North America should be one, it may be said. It is a step on the right path. One might say. The coin has two sides, to be sure. Let us understand, here, South America provides a bastion against any ruse for total domination by the North Americans at work behind the scenes. Its people's movements increase in strength, and the stability of their states pose an ever present threat to the monopolisers. Confrontation between the North, and the economically rebellious South awaits. Questions will arise, and answers will follow. Will all America be "Amero"? Surely, there can be no other American currency!?! It is certainly uncertain, yet this is the point, we must realise, now!!!

It seems the "Amero" is inevitable. It is a step too far though, on the part of its instigators, and the people can only rise against the thieves within, or all will be without hope. Let us hope the cause of a pan-American currency will encourage popular movement, unlitmately for the attainment of REAL pan-American liberty and justice.

Yes exactly. You think we have unsafe garbage made in China now? Just wait until they have the NAFTA superhighway complete.

If you want to educate yourself about the Amero, the NAU and the SPP, read "The Late Great USA" by Jerome Corsi.

Exclamation North American Union

The north American union if you want it or not, will be done. The point is not if the economy will be better or not (the first years maybe get a bit worse, but in long terms it will be much stronger),but with this merge someone or few will earn BIG amounts of it.There is a reason US dollar loses ground.Do you think that the US government can not make Dollar stronger since they do not have any restriction from the National Bank(do you know that only the us dollar can be copied unlimited, becauce it isn't tradeable with gold as all currencies used to be.) The most of American citizens does not want this union...how can the ''FEW'' convince the people to accept the union? They make the dollar lose ground vs Euro and one day they will announce the new Amero, because there isn't any solution to the dollar's fall. The boarders are already open. The next step is a common government like European Union is going to do.Why do you think all this is happening?!

Good God, why would we want to tie our currency and economy to that of Mexico????!!!!! They'd be even more encouraged to slough off all of their poor on us and take care of their upper class!

Why is that? Do we systematically send our poor to Canada for jobs and social services? Have our companies set up factories along the Canadian border to employ Canadians for cheap? Is the exchange rate 10 U.S. dollars for one Canadian dollar? Are corrupt Canadian police working with drug cartels and human traffickers to breach our border, trafficking drugs and human beings?

We have a good working relationship with Canada, including oil partnerships and other trade. The U.S. and Canadian dollars are about equal in worth now but goods are much cheaper in the U.S., so Canadians come here to shop. Oh, and when they come to visit, they remember to go home.

What do we get from Mexico? Tainted produce, apparently; all sorts of illicit drugs; gang bangers and other criminal illegals; millions of poor, desperate people their own country doesn't care about or want to help; and a security nightmare at the southern border, where we have to spend billions of dollars or get completely overrun. Yay.

Gee, what was I thinking? The U.S. and Canada should be really excited about uniting economically with Mexico! Maybe, in time, we could just bulldoze most of it and turn Mexico into our penal colony and send all of our undesirables there, like Britain did with Australia.

Have to understand the fantasies of US upper class to get this.

Gotta have the Mexicans for labor. After Blacks made it up to union status and figured out they did not have be treated like crap, they no longer made a good servant class, and the poor white trash has attitudes and is just plain scary.

Gotta have Canada for the resources. Sure there may be some Natives around but we figured out how to corral them years ago.

As for you now Middle Class white folks fretting about all this . . . there will still be some assistant manager jobs at Taco Bell available.

Now quit complaining and just think how NAFTA was declared dead before it "fast tracked" around the Constitutional requirements for all treaties, and enjoy your New World Odor.

NO, thank you! You may expect a common North American Currency, but I expect that most Americans will receive that idea the same way they did the recent attempt at 'immigration reform': with a resounding NO WAY.
last i checked canadians and mexicans didn't have the trade deficit we do. neither do they have the debt. they produce more than enough oil for themselves too. i sincerely doubt that they need a helping hand least of all from us. we export grains, boeing and catepillar. it won't be long before the chinese start producing the own planes and earth moving machinery and brazil is starting to take over as the worlds bread basket.

we better wake up quickly and this attitude that we are the saviours of the world needs to change. we need to realise that no one needs us and our paper anymore. we have to start being competitve again in a massive hurry
