When he went to the vet last week he weighed 16lbs. He goes again next month, it will be interesting to see how much he's gained in a months time.
16 pounds at 4 months, I'm guessing adult weight will fall at 45 pounds or so.
I did think Bernie too, but that's a really low weight. Even most mixes would be a bit higher. I'm now leaning toward a bit of the beagle / rottie in him. Maybe hound / staffie.
Either way, he's a cute little guy. Can't wait to watch him grow up!
Very cute pound hound, lots of beagle in there. Remember that not all beagles meet the standard size, quite a few get bigger than the norm. He does have much of the coloring of a GSMD, however that is a very rare breed and I would be suspicious of any mixed matings, breeders of rare breeds rarely have ooppses and if they do they are just a meticulious placing a a mixed puppy as they would a pure bred.
Based on the photos, I'd say hound mixes, that bray your looking for won't come out for a while...and I'm sure it's there...LOL.
