I don't know how big your rice cooker is but, when making a large quantity (like a week's worth), keep an eye on it. You know that vent? You might get a lot of moisture oozing out if the oatmeal/water level is too high. It won't damage anything but it does get messy.

I gave the freak brown rice spaghetti and meatballs today for breakfast. He ate a few bites, then walked away. He's just not one to eat when he's not hungry! When we got him, we were told that Bulldogs will eat until you take it away and it's not the case with PC. He really won't eat, even human food, unless he's starving. I can put an entire rotisserie chicken on the floor and he will sniff and walk away until he's ready to eat! He finally ate the spaghetti two hours after I gave it to him, and this was 16 hours after last night's dinner! I really don't know where his chunkiness comes from!

No worries. The Beeze will take care of his leftovers when we get there

Last night my neighbor came over to talk to me for a minute (the nice one!) and I shut Beeze inside the house because he kept trying to come outside. I went back in 2 minutes later and he was standing ON the coffee table eating the leafs off the artichoke I had sitting there. Dumb dog!

I just use the Quaker old-fashioned oats usually...they're done almost as quickly as the quick oats, and I can tell you from experience that they definitely like the texture of the old-fashioned ones better...not as "goopy", LOL!

I have a feeling PC will love his food when there is a competitor to take it away! Kind of like he's not interested in his ball at the park until another dog takes it!

I'm going to try that. The steel cut are kind of goopy! I had sushi for dinner, and one of them was an asparagus roll. I gave it to him and he took it apart, leaving behind the rice. He only wanted the asparagus! He's so strange.

I find a huge pile of discarded rice next to his bowl and have actually caught the little freak taking mouthfuls of rice and dumping it on the floor to get to the chicken! I don't know what he has against rice, but I'm assuming rice is the more important thing to consume when he has diarrhea than the chicken! Does your dog eat rice willingly?
Ben won't eat it for anything. Just like yours, he dumps it out of the bowl. We finally had to get the canned chicken and rice. For some reason, he has no problem eating it. Now Charlie will eat it with no problem at all. In fact he loves it!

I always feed rice and chicken to my goldendoodle when he's not feeling good! Works like a charm every single time
