This image tells one of the most heart-wrenching stories to emerge from the wreckage of the massive Moore, Okla., tornado. This little dog was reportedly found guarding the body of its owner, who was buried in the rubble. The loyal pup was taken to the local animal shelter and will get a second chance at happiness — a deputy from the Oklahoma Sheriff's department plans to adopt him. We're glad the critter is all right. It's a piece of good news amid the devastation.

From the article above:

"UPDATE: Later reports revealed that the body the dog was guarding was not its owner's. The dog, named Susie, was reunited her real owner, Curtis Collins."

Here's the whole "update" story of the reunion:

Revealed: Dog thought to be guarding body of its dead owner in iconic image of tornado devastation is reunited with REAL master | Mail Online

At the end of the story, there are pictures of other dogs reunited with owners along with some pictures of ones still waiting.

Very touching story.

Watched the video about the lost/found pets.

I hope they all find their owners and their owners are safe.
