Hope those of you in horrible weather (Bob) - are doing okay, I am HATING it, high winds, trees down in the area, etc. (thankfully, didn't lose power here) - but it's COLD!!! And we have a winter weather advisory/warning (I forget which) issued for Mon. night/Tues. a.m. - 5" plus of snow, sleet, ice - I haven't been out since Wed. (hoping the car will start tomorrow) - will get what I need (beer, LOL) - and back the car in the driveway for another week probably of being homebound. Do NOT want to shovel though
Bring back the winter(s) when we averaged 3" of snow for the entire winter!! (and nowhere near this cold!)
We got another 14" today and they are saying maybe more during the week and maybe another blizzard next weekend.
Tonight they are saying wind chills as low as 25 below.
The National Guard is here also.
The schools are thinking of canceling April vacation or have school on Saturdays to make up the snow days.
Just stay warm and safe!

Poor Bob and Flamingo. I cant even begin to imagine what you're going through.
I'm learning to let go of things I cant change. Dont know whether that's good or not, but hoping it's a start to better days.
Queenie is still doing great. Her meds are costing me a fortune but it's worth it for her wonderful company. She takes 22 pills a day -- 12 heart pills, 4 arthritis pills, 4 stomach pills and 2 urinary pills. Some are veterinary meds and some I have to get filled at Walgreen's.
My sister is coming down from Virginia again tomorrow -- she was here last year and also this past January -- to stay for 4 days. When she's here we do nothing except veg out, talk and nibble on munchies while watching TV. We also go to a great Mexican restaurant close to my house, but that's usually the only time we leave the house. She says it's so relaxing for her. She agrees with me that she has lots of friends to do stuff with, but I'm the only one she has to do nothing with.
There is a lot to be said for doing nothing, TFW. I am quite good at it since I retired.
