I wanted to take Queenie out to run a bit today -- checked the weather radar -- no rain here yet, so we went to the schoolyard for a brief run.
Would you believe that, in the time it took me to drive the 12 blocks to the school, it started pouring rain? And the temp dropped from 67 to 42 (it had started dropping before we left the house). We got out of the car anyway so she could pee and run (in that order) -- but we didnt stay because the rain was coming down harder and it was so cold. I was soaked and so was she. Such a good Queenie -- she didnt want to get back in the car so soon but she followed me there anyway.
My sinuses arent speaking to me. Well, yes they are. They're mad.

Ok, I'm going to have to come get some rainwater!! We have had nothing in so long. Our wells maybe in trouble come summertime. Made a reserfvation for camping soon and they advised we fill our tanks and bring drinking water.
Sorry about your sinus TFW. I've been pretty lucky ( knock knock) this year. The Mountain cedar usually kills me but nothing so far.
Hope everyone is well and warm tonight. We actually got some snow last night and chance of it again tonight!!
Have fun in it, Camper. I trust it's just enough snow to be fun and not to cause traffic problems.
The northern area of Houston got a little snow last night and it's expected that they'll get more again tonight. The southern area (where I am) is getting the cold temps and maybe some rain, but no snow.
Update after the Dr. appt. today: his transplanted kidney is scarred and dying.... he now has approx. 27% function, when it drops to 20% it's back to dialysis and getting on the transplant list. (anybody have a kidney they aren't using? LOL)

O, Flamingo, I'm so sorry. I wish I had some words of comfort for both of you.
I had major kidney surgery 22 years ago because one was shorting out and they thought maybe I was going to be in trouble but it all worked out fine. My nephew had one removed a few years ago because they thought he was born with one and all of a sudden this little thing shows up and started malfunctioning. He is living fine with one. My bro in law had one removed a few years ago because of a cancer scare. He lives fine with one.
There is always hope and that I can give you. Don't ever give up.
