I wondered what that bright light off in the west was. Now I know -- it's Camper's yard.
Like Camper, I feel bad for those of you who have to deal with really cold weather and digging out snow piles. The weather here is warm -- it's 72 right now. Highs are in the high 70s-low 80's -- lows are in the 70s...until close to the weekend, when we're supposed to get another cool, rainy front.
The time between thanksgiving and Christmas is my favorite time of year. Happy Season to all of you too!
The Houston Chronicle announced the winner of the Photo Contest. My photo was ranked #6 out of 20 finalists. Not bad considering that I mentioned it only here. Thanks to everyone who voted!
I was surprised that the cute photo (#4) of the two girls sitting on their commodes didnt win. I thought it would be a shoo-in for the prize.
Awww, thanks, Camper, Ketabcha, Starr and Bob! It did make me feel good to know that, since I didnt advertise it, lots of people who dont know me must have thought my photo was worthy of their votes.
Ketabcha, please stay safe in this bad weather. I'm sure it's going to be much worse for you than for Camper and me.
And, Bob, I hope your area will be ok. I think there's a storm warning for the NE part of the country too.
Starr, I guess Florida is safe from the blast of cold air that's sweeping across the country. Hope so, anyway.
So far so good here. It's 34 and windy but dry. Just let my poor little dog out and in came a pupcycle!!!! He was shriving so bad I didn't think I'd ever get him to stop!
It's a good thing we love to go camping in this weather, hubby works outside and is still at work.
As fun as it is to play at camping, I just couldn't be homeless on a night like tonight. I would just cry all the time.
It really is a season to be thankful and count our blessings.
It's 39 here right now and that's the warmest it's supposed to be all day. 60% chance of rain but at least it wont be sleet. The prediction is for temps to be down into the 20s early next week.
I'm up early this morning because I have to go to the hospital for another ultrasound -- second one this week on the same place. Would appreciate prayers and positive vibes.
