Why on earth should he have "let him go"? He'd just committed felony armed robbery. He'd just tried to take the gun from an officer. He'd just assaulted that officer.
Just following the request of the step father on TV when he said "Burn this ***** to the ground, burn this MF'n town down".
I'd like to see the business owners and church people start chanting "no justice, no food, booze, church" etc.
I certainly wouldn't rebuild unless/until I believed that the local/state government who's job it is to protect me as a taxpayer actually was up to the job.
As a business owner/parishioner I would seriously consider filing a lawsuit against the state for allowing the burning/looting to happen when they knew well in advance it would.
This is very sad. I think Michael Brown, Sr., needs to be viewed separately from the rest of that family. He has made succinct efforts to be positive, e.g. making public service announcements, helping distribute turkeys, calling for peaceful demonstrations. His voice seems just as lost as his burned out church.

Instead of rioting and looting, the people in Ferguson should try to make it a better place to live now by building homes, planting gardens, and educating its citizenry to make sure another Michael Brown incident doesn't happen again.
Unfortunately or fortunately-- Police will always shoot an aggressive criminal. I actually never want this rule to be any different.

Assault and battery is a felony. Assault and Battery against a police officer is a very grave criminal act, if you get to live.
By our president elevating Sharpton to advisor status, it gave Sharpton the importance needed to further his interests in promoting riots and other disturbances across the nation. It's hard to believe that Sharpton has been given such power. It's a tragedy of the highest order.
When the he££ did that happen? Woeisme, if only Colin Powell or Condie Rice would have run. I suppose this was inevitable though.
The police officer was at fault, because he pursued Michael Brown, when he should have just let it go.
Michael Brown was at fault, because he made the police officer angry, and grabbed for his gun.
Both were at fault. But racism towards black people from police officers does exist, so there are cases where this would be justified to argue about. This isn't one of those cases, though.
Let it go, after someone grabbed for your gun? Let it go? Are you out of your mind? Is this country turning into Mad Max and the Thunder whatever? Let it go?

Let's get Mel Gibson to end the riots then.
