I watch movies through my mac and no issues. I decided to watch some tv and unhooked my computer and usually i just click onto a channel and sound goes back onto my tv but not this time. Its like its on mute. I have turned the TV off and on and still nothing. The sound will work though through the computer when i hook it up.

Did you check the sound menu on your TV to see what speakers are selected?
