Latest Snowfall total forecast from NWS for Southern New England.

Snow starts in Fairfield County after 2pm tomorrow. I still say roads will be fine. Also.. heads up on wind gusts tomorrow night! Gonna really feel like mid Winter.

Almost forgot. Time to dust it off.

Last time it was used was April 2, 6, 7, 8, & 19.

7 months seems like an eternity but its a pretty short gap between for this area.

Soil temp 4" down is 43.8°. Should drop into the 30s tomorrow morning. (It does fluctuate as many may not know)

If that Jet stream was just 200 miles East more, we would be all snow and had a 4-6"+ snowfall statewide. That's all it takes. Dipping Jet to Southeast with the right axis off the coast.

The other kicker is this Upper Low. While it is a Cold pool of air aloft, note what its doing to the Ohio valley. Bringing Rain and Dry air on the East side of it.

So I think if we didn't have this Upper Low around, we may have gotten more snow. I love weather and seeing things happen. Always something different!

April 19th is crazy! Thanks for reminding me how painful the last few "springs" have been. I've been to the beach in mid-March many times in the 80s & 90s.

So did we go from 3-6" to a trace to 3" for the state? Stupid JS should have moved more south, I'm ready for the snow but still have some leaf cleanup to get through next week.

Snowing in Arkansas, Raining in Alabama and Lake Ontario sending streamers into CT

Why forecasts change last minute.

New Euro has the storm off NYC Friday 7am vs yesterdays update it had the storm still over Southern NJ at 7am.
