.79" this go around for Hartford's Brainard Airport. On top of the 3 some inches received since 6 PM last Friday evening. ENOUGH!!

Hopefully the wind later isn't as fierce as last Saturday afternoon.

Add another 0.78" to my numbers.
That's 2.28" this month now.

20.14" this fall (since Sept 1st)

Nice weekend ahead. Rain moves in Monday night

Single Digits in MN and Iowa. Teens in Kansas & Missouri. 20+ below normal.

That air is moving east and we'll feel it (not that cold though)

Snowing in Northern Litchfield. This is why Norfolk gets more snow than rest of us. Aside from elevation, they benefit from Lake Effect and Topography effect

My sister in Olean is missing out on the 6-10" of snow accumulation. Must look like winter over there!

So windy out there I cant blow leaves!

Wanna bet the "D" word (drought) will still be thrown about by some weathermen next year. Drives me crazy when they quote rainfall totals being down from the average. Hey guys, I hate to tell you but an average means some years are higher and some years are lower. That is the definition of the word "average". Jay

44°F and snow flurries. And its in the books!

Danbury reported snow as well. Nothing stuck here of course. Wayy too light.

Here's the loop. Looks like the moisture came from Lake Erie but some instability helped it for us.

California.....now they have droughts. Connecticut.....nope. We have no dry season here. As you say some years it may be relatively dry but in my completely non professional, non meteorologist opinion, we never reach the level of true droughts. Just one more way weatherpersons can stir up drama.
