We all know it's been dry. That's a normal thing to have. Patterns don't stay the same month after month, year after year. It's normal to have an abnormally dry period. No big deal. Grass is surely showing it too.

Here's precip total for Hartford for this year. So far 33.36" of precip. Normal is 34.9". No big deal. Note the flat line past 3 weeks! That should change next 7 days.

In 2011 by now Hartford had 55.10" of liquid that fell!

Here's Bridgeport:: They have 30.32" for the year. Normal is 32.96". No big deal! Been above normal April to September. Only past few weeks we dropped below the normal brown line.

1964 looked bad! Now that's a drought!

Per the long range, looks like it doesn't cool off until next Thursday 10/12?

Sounds right. Looking forward to next weekend.

Front now stalled over us.

clouds during the day might not make it feel too hot. Its the lows that will be warm thanks to clouds.

And this.... come on Nate...bring us some good rains next week!

New 5pm Update from National Hurricane Center has the depression Nate coming right over us.

Current radar showing a batch of rain over PA right now. Not too excited about that coming our way.

If it doesn't go below 67 before midnight at BDR it will tie a "record high low" for the date, last set in 2007

That batch in PA staying in tact. Will some showers make it to us overnight? We'll see. Only small area of decent rains (yellows). Could expand. Cool evaporate.

5-9pm loop
