Lets take a guess at what the runway will reach at Bradley. They always run higher than forecasted I'm going with 97+.

With high pressure ridge setting up off the mid Atlantic coast, SW winds will bring increasingly warm and humid air across the region as pressure gradient increases. H85 temps rise during the day, up to +16C to +18C, so will see temps reach the lower-mid 90s away from the S coast with the onshore winds. Highest temps look to occur across interior E Mass and the CT valley. Temps may out perform model guidance in a few spots, so can not rule out some upper 90 readings.

In the books for June 1-9 period.

Islip 6th Coldest
Hartford & Binghamton 8th
Worcester & Bridgeport 11th
NYC 12th coldest.
Albany 13th coldest
Providence 14th
Scranton 17th
Boston 18th

Impressive because some records go back to 1800s and that's a lot of years to beat!

Hate to repeat it but looks like we have to wait until after the 10th or mid month for the real hot pattern to return. 9 days away now so we'll see.

Ridge goes from the Rockies this coming week and moves East each day and becomes this the following week. Heights rise to 585+ in the region
Today: Suddenly Hot.

Heat Wave #2 of year for some

No way. Not yet. I let in some cool air into the house this morning but time to shut down. AC wont kick on till about 11am.

Shut your shades where the sun is coming in and keep the windows and doors closed.

Looks like this is similar to the May heat wave though in that we go back to 70s after Tuesday or Wednesday......

Stoked good weather to run a race early afternoon! Loving this weather too bad it is short lived. Hopefully by the end of June will warm up.

After it stopped raining and the temps soared.....has that caused the pollen count to skyrocket?

Temps only low-mid 80s but the Dews are in the low 60s. Can you feel it? More humid. Feels hotter than 84! Compared to yesterday 80s with dews in the 50s.

Yesterday:
1pm
Temp: 81
Dew: 56

Today
12pm
Temp: 84
Dew 61

It's not unbearable outside but there's a definite difference in the humidity. Feels much hotter today and uncomfortable.

Not sure if its cause I'm more sensitive to it but I can feel a 5 degree dewpoint difference especially from 50s to 60s. Or 60s to 70s. However I cant notice the dryness from like 30s to 20s.
