lol. Its total sarcasm. Everyone that knows me knows my goal to make people understand that headlines and agendas are failing to teach us that the Climate isn't just changing today and that we have always warmed and cooled in last billions of years and had short term extremes.

Of course we're in a warming trend, not denying that. But we been in it for what...thousand years? lol But we've been in a cooling trend for decades now or I will agree just flat, not warming.

And find me daily and monthly records for before 1800s.. How about when Earth was warming in 1200s? did we have weather stations back then that shows detailed data? lolol How about the 1100BC record warming? Did people email eachother back then and talk about the crazy weather patterns?

Such a dumb topic now I don't get involved much. I just see, hear and know who's been brainwashed.

Agree. The streams by me which were dry as a bone during the height of the drought are now flowing at or above their usual rate. Ponds and reservoirs look much fuller. Things are improving gradually.

Nice graphic and what we need to achieve to make it the warmest February on record in those locations. I will do the Winter stats tomorrow if I have the chance.

Bridgeport needs an average temp of 39.1° to have its warmest February on record.

They are currently at 47° at 12pm and the low was 39 so its a lock. lol

Islip wont be having their warmest February. Interesting.

I started keeping better track of snow depth in my backyard about 2 yrs ago. Wish I started long ago, just never thought would be interesting to have since we always snow then melt soon after. But now I realize how important and interesting it is. I input the data into a spread sheet. Log in every day at 7am.

Anyway - Here's*snow*. Just Litchfield and part of Hartford county had a little left. Probably all gone now with the rains yesterday

I've been thinking of keeping track. Might have to start next winter. I won't be in Connecticut for much longer, so I always wondered the point of doing it.

Still shocking how quickly the snow melted in general across New England.

On more recent topics, I will seriously not complain about the warming trend of recent winters. I hate the snow and the cold. Makes it really hard to breathe and shoveling wrecks havoc on my back.

In the 1 winter I preferred it; its nice to see happen a few times. 60s again tomorrow.

I am seeing a redish tint to trees. Magnolia buds are swelling. Lilacs are wakening. Tulips are sprouting.

We should be getting early landscape blooms this year but we better pray there are no hard freezes in March or April like last year! Its so easy to get a shotbof arctic air un either month.

Islip wont be having their warmest February. Interesting.

They are/were not correct about Bridgeport. BDR averaged 38.4 for the month in the end and the record is 38.7 degrees (although their "almanac" section says it was 38.8) set in 2012. They were right about Central Park though (they ended up averaging 41.6 for the month). I had mentioned a couple of day ago on this thread that BDR was too far away from the warmest to make it, just like ISP/Islip. I think the reason neither got their is the extra snow from Feb. 9 in their areas compared to other parts of the region made for longer snow cover and lower temperatures then.

Looks like both of us had different posting styles.

What surprised me about the stats is that there were only 6 days since 1905 that had more snow falling in 1 day in Hartford (BDL).
