Yeah, had a snowsquall with blue skies at 4pm. I had to look around to find the cloud that was dropping the snow. It was obviously just past me behind me towards the southeast. Lol

Just a trace. Saw some nice coatings in NJ from one. You can see at beginning of loop here

January looks like we finally go below normal. All long terms have a pretty long cold period in the mid - end month time frame. Too early to tell but my bet is on it being a below normal month.

NWS just published their long-range for January...they're saying above normal for Northeast.

Careful driving this morning. Leaving work around the shore area this morning about high 30's close to 40. Route 8 not bad didn't seem like any winter weather happen. Closer to Nagy area a dusting of snow on the road, temps right at the freezing mark, ice, and black ice. It's a mess out there right now.

Anyone know what happened to the big snowstorm for next weekend? NWS and Accuweather seem to not have it in their forecast at all anymore but Weather Channel shows it as "snow showers or light snow"

My guess since the forecasts not showing the cold say sunny and below normal temps that cold high pressure is suppressing the system south and/or out to sea?
