Closer to 20% or less. Should be good.

Anyone remember what the sun looks like? lol.

Looking to see if I see that change coming... Was supposed to be mid Month... GFS says nope... Below normal theme continues with times of warmth (60s).

Only thing that will change is the fact that we might not be consistently cloudy after this week. But still, notice the rain column,, there's still moisture around next 16 days so maybe it wont be clear many times either.

Total opposite last years April and May. I gotta get my plants out by mid month.

Look at the thickness Monday morning and end of the run. Crazy. We're lucky to get that type of thickness in December.

Weather always balances out. This is just the beginning of payback for the mild winter many celebrated imo.

I'm gathering sticks to light the fire again for heat. So So weird!!! Never did it this much in May.

Curious to see how low and high the clouds were.

2pm sounding for the area. Apparently it must be some great views landing and taking off with planes.

Some interesting things going on.
  • Cloud Base is about 2000'.
  • Cloud Top is about 4500'. Above that it's sunny with some scattered high clouds.
  • It's below freezing above 8000' more interestingly...
  • There's an East wind at the surface giving me that annoying mist again!!!!
  • But the flow turns from the Southwest at 4500' and all the way up!
  • Surface temps in the 40s and 50s with a Southwest flow. Can't say that often! It's thanks to clouds and a not so warm airmass aloft. (3-5C at 850mb)

2pm Temps. Crazy. It's May, normal is 60s and 70s.

Notice that its no accident that the tops of the cloud deck are at the same altitude as the wind shift. Going from an E wind to a SW wind aloft makes perfect sense.

Ironically Cambium, if the weather were exactly as it is now, EXCEPT if the ceilings were 200-300', I'd be jumping for joy since that is perfect flying weather for me!

When its in the 800-2000' range for cloud bases, its not "bad" enough for it to be interesting, so its just a drag.

I knew you would respond. Pretty cool huh.

BTW guys .......... Today makes 4 days in a row Hartford stayed below 55°F. If they get 2 more days like that, it will be the most number of days the max stayed under 55F in May since 1967. And it wasn't in a row then! This has to be a record.

Pretty much been a while across the region to experience this.

Fire lit for heat again. Crazy!
