Hate it. Today was day #2 with overcast skies.

Going to mid May without a warmup pattern. We could get a couple days it hits 65+ but overall pattern is Fallish.

Polar Jet stream still diving down into the U.S and thats not allowing the SE Ridge to get sustained.

Today GFS decides to say it will go past mid month.

We're kind of due for a below normal month (though April was in many places), right?

April was below normal mostly in New England north of NYC and also in NY. I said at the turn of April "what if.....just what if this is the new pattern?". Here we are 5 weeks later and its still going.

Now question is, how long.

My gut says another 2 months

Like I said before, its just the surface temps that were below normal today. The temps at 10,000 ft (700mb) were above normal.

Radar loop past 4hrs. Just another rainy night/morning. Temps near 50° across the state.


1/4" of rain fell since 2am


4/22: 0.03"
4/23: 0.27"
4/26: 0.42"
4/29: 0.07"
4/30: 0.01"
5/1: 0.27"
5/2: 0.03"
5/3: 0.23" so far
