BDR did not hit 90 today. Boston either. So the day counting continues.

The trend of # of 90s is down since the 1950s (6+ decades). Maybe NOAA can "adjust" that too.

Max temps today..... & the streak continues.

No 90° yet for Islip, Bridgeport, Providence, Boston, Albany, Binghamton, Youngstown, Fort Wayne, Burlington, Worcester, Buffalo, Bangor, Caribou

Islip seems to be the furthest south at low elevation. There's a spot in West Virginia that hasn't hit 90 yet but its 2000'.

Central park was also 89 today. If it werent for that stupid 15 minute period between hours one day in June (I actually so have 'adjustment' suspicion on that one, theres a lot of reason to question Central Park like when they had lower snow totals than everyone else last winter and then raised them) they'd be making history as their latest 'first 90' was in 1985 on July 14 (1877 had its 'first 90' on July 26 but even NOAA and NWS have some suspicion on that because the next nearest record is so different and occured in our lifetimes).

I wish they would focus more on the rise in nightime lows which has been significant and unprecendented. (unlike daytime highs which havent budged if not gone down a little). Maybe this is what the science of 'global warming' really is (ie instead of making it overall warmer it keeps more heat from escaping at night, or it produces more clouds which would produce the paradox of raising nightime lows while lowering daytime highs), or maybe its more 'urban heat islands' than in the past (which also mostly manifests itself in the nighttime lows), or a little of both.

So far this summer June 01 to July 13 ...

70.3°F for coast CT (BDR)
69.0°F for northern CT (BDL)

Both locations cooler than last year and coolest since 2009.

No 90s in sight next 10 days at least

WTF! Dewpoint at 70°. GUARANTEE you a dewpoint of 70 in the Bahamas does not feel like this.

It's suffocating out there. Give me a friggin breeze at least. Geesus. The leaves are not even moving let alone sticks.

Once every 2 hours I'll get a 5-7mph wind today for literally few minutes..

So odd man..it was cool out today. Its JULY!

In fact I was commenting how abnormally cool today felt..little sun out , great summer day. I mean look at that heat index 73.7 ... that is a dream for a mid July Day.
