So instead of having more warm days then seasonable. We're having more cold days then seasonable. January might end up below normal if that continues all month.

Aside from this weekend (thanks to the stupid storm cutting to the Great Lakes!) we aren't having well above normal days anymore.

Instead of saying "more cold days then seasonable", I should of said more cold days than seasonably warm. My mind was still on the warm December temps thinking "seasonable" was 40s and 50s.

But yeah ... days of well above normal temps for days on end is over....for now ... but naturally we still can see 1 or 2 days again.

Im not writing off this winter here in CT but I think the pattern is setup where the west is getting the snow and cold. Which they desperately need.

This graphic sums it up.
You can CLEARLY see the ridge in the East with that map. I know. I been following.

You should check out the thread I been updating since August!!

I think what you said -was dead on. Basically warm air gone now seasonal to a few below days...Just need the storm track to cooperate.

Although long term thinks after next week..we will go to seasonal/slightly above for a bit..till we go below in early Feb.

think we are gonna have a pretty good winter month February.

Weather Channel is actually better with mid range 3 to 5 ... see if they pick up model changes. So far not at all. Either office.

That said ..outside 15 days is really still a crapshoot.
