Long Island Sound was choppier than usual and the water was brownish in the Stamford area. Does anyone knows if this is tied to something in the weather?

The brown no idea. The choppiness due to strong winds from High Pressure and I believe Hurricane in Atlantic although I thought was too far. Would have to look into it.

Btw... anyone worried about the late color change? This means we could go into mid November with leaves...which means more chances of snow with leaves. But they might be too loose by then.

Freeze and Frost Warnings in NY and MA tonight.

Heavy rain after no rain = lots of stuff coming off the main land via rivers/streams, including overwhelming sewage plants.

Then take in the wind and it stirs things up even more... I was out on a boat in the sound all weekend, the water was gross because of the combination.

About 600 miles off the CT coast is the Hurricane

Moving NNE 13mph. 85mph winds. Min Pressure is 964mb now. I believe it bottomed at 932mb.

Tropical Storm force winds extend out 225 miles from the center. So Bermuda is still experiencing it.

Just a 300 mile shift west and we would be dealing with it.

lol. Yeah, it was sarcastic. Storms wobble 25 miles all the time but 300 miles is not a shift you'll see within 3 days. LOL. Models usually are pretty good from 2 days out. That's why it always takes to like 3 days out to get a better sense of things.

That's because they can use current conditions and create a result that's pretty accurate today, tomorrow and day after. but 5 days+ out they can vary.

I really don't see a frost or freeze threat next 10 days. Mid month still looking ok but so far for details like that.

Also.. We will have chilly moments and warm moments but overall pretty seasonable for this time of year.

Just amazing not to even see the threat of frost yet.

Latest Frost Date. (36F)

Bridgeport: 11/14/77

Albany: 11/8/20

Hartford: 11/8/20

Boston: 11/17/68

Burlington: 10/22/1905
