Awesome! Isnt it crazy how rapid the cold was with height and how the cold compressed so far to surface?

Here is 2pm Sunday for Brideport.. I know u appreciate this..

You can see that there was a small layer of clouds at about 5000 feet but more importantly.. It was actually 46°F on land and 19°F just 4800' up!

Part reason why just flurries is because dewpoints were in the teens near the surface so it was bone dry. Any moisture that was coming down was drying up but a few flakes found their way down!

There wasn't enough time to melt since it was below freezing even at 1500'.

Looks like if long term solutions are right (GRAIN OF SALT) November will end up above Normal. Accuweather is calling for one of the warmest winters on record in Canada.

Wow. No posts during the days we were in the 70s? People were in shorts and had the A/C on. Hope you all enjoyed it.

Low of 33° this morning. Another freeze/frosty morning. Fire is going again for heat.

10-15 below normal in New England down to NJ

No sustained well below normal temps and no torch temps. Ups and Downs continue. Showers tomorrow. Good rains Wednesday

Shhhh! You'll freak these people out when they forget to set their clocks back next weekend!

Looks like we get a shower or two from the west either late tonight or tomorrow morning. No big deal apparently.

Cool site keeps track of snow totals & ranks for populated cities. (100k+).
Syracuse went from 12th to 2nd this week.

Hartford and Bridgeport are on there. Should be fun to keep track of.

Another morning in the 30s in New England.

Had window open all night and it was chill to the bone this morning. Woke up energized, refreshed and no headache! It feels like there's been more 30s this month so far than recent years...

Sure enough... For some more than last year for 10/01-10/26 period..

Bridgeport currently at 40 needs a dip of 1 more degree to have most since 2009 . I knew it.

Concord, NH had 11 last year, This year 18!
Pittsfield, MA 8 last year, 16 this year!
Worcester, MA 2 last year 7 this year!

No its not. We been through that already.

Extremes is just that... extremes.. meaning not common to get. Both ends of the spectrum.

30s is not extreme, neither is 60s but we've had enough of those to make the normal.

Normal comes from a blend of what we get the most of on either side of normal. Not the extremes.
