A lot of the districts closing (i.e. Danbury, Norwalk) had half days tomorrow to start mid winter break, so no delay option and they closed. Most Westchester districts have declared delays with the option to change to closure if it gets worse overnight

The wind is seriously crazy...the snow is piled up against the back of the house, you'd think I intentionally made a pile. It's over the 3 step concrete form and halfway up against the slider. I guess I have a Saturday project now...digging and digging....

Upper level low stacking over the norEaster. What a storm.

Heard Thunder myself with moderate rain. Now I got a Waterfall over the gutter edges. Lovely. Checking for basement leaks. street Drains are all blocked too.

Waiting to go back to snow now. Crazy stuff. 1-2" per hr rates developing over PA

Changing to sleet here now. Here's a look at the Upper Level Low moving over the area (orange) and the 984mb SLP.

Upper level low is a Low Pressure at about 18,000 feet. It tends to bring snowy and cloudy conditions. Add that stacking on top of the surface low and you got a dynamic storm.
