I'm good but thanks for your concern . Big truck with snow tires and I go out in every storm to check it out..

Current Radar and metars.

Snowing in Newark and LGA now and SPC issued heavy snow rates of 1-2" per hour coming. (outlined in blue). Should be extended into CT by morning

Classic looking precip shield. Rain/Snow line stalling off the NJ coast for now

Weather forecast on weather.com for Wallingford says 2-4" of snow.

Do people in CT have anything better to report on? The states biggest news story every winter is the wintry weather. As if it's not normal. Time to stock up on food, right? You may run out of something in 2 days time.....

So hilarious. I'm glad I left years ago.

Some heavy returns north of Atlantic City. Few more hours to be over us. Warm air aloft has made it to around Atlantic City.

NWS NY

"Radar currently shows light snow across the Tri-State. As we can see to the south, this will be picking up in intensity as heavier precipitation moves north over the next few hours. Road conditions are expected to deteriorate rapidly this morning.

At the same time, we can also pick up where snow is melting somewhat or completely to rain. This will push across coastal sections later this morning, resulting in a switch to rain/snow/sleet."

4am OBS. Temps in the 20s and wind chills in the teens mostly. Feels like Single digits for northern CT

I can't decide if I should head into NYC from Norwalk via Metro North. We were previously allowed to work from home if approved by our boss, but some idiot ruined it for all of us and now we have to come in or take a vacation day. Anyone else heading into NYC or is everyone staying home?

Roads look like they'll be fine for another few hours maybe mid morning?

Current radar and Wind Chill Values. I see some heavy bands off shore and even a light one over the sound pushing into CT. Play the radar loop and you'll start to see how these bands are moving. Crucial to see where they go. Snow rates double under these heavy bands.
