Exactly.....in fact Central Park and LGA and Newark had several days in a row over 60 (but nothing over 70 yet). But Islip and JFK also have that "water effect" hurting them.

That's why I have decided my 11 60's in April must apply to Danbury or Hartford..I think it will happen for them. Bridgeport just has too much going againsyt it. Has to be a west or WSW wind..anything from south will keep temps down.

In fact TWC has 7 straight days over 60 in Danbury. Not sure if we get that 80 though...I will fail if I don't see at least 1.

Danbury is kind of the tri state areas version of North Dakota.....in that they often have the coldest lows in the region but sometimes the highest highs (the CT state record of 106 occured in Danbury in July of 1995)

Max temps so far this year. No 60F yet for Bridgeport, Islip, Groton, Nantucket and few other spots Eastern MA. Adirondack too. Looks like Burlington almost hit 70.

Look at those 70s in NJ. Meanwhile I wasn't even in the 60s for more than 3 hours yet. lol

From March 26th.

Sure enough... The Vortex is nowhere near the U.S and apparently models are showing the warmth next week. Weather is about a marriage, its like a poker game, you need more than 1 card to make things happen. That PV was the main card.

See that ridge popping up in the East? Well, thank the Upper Level Low in the West AND that Polar Vortex which didn't come back around to Southern Canada. Pop.

Yup, Looks like I had caught a bad run of the lovely GFS we all love. LOL Models all coming around now to a 2 day 70s surge in CT.

Still 9 days away but maybe will lighten "some" moods. GFS18z max temps next Thursday the 16th

Widespread 70s up to Canada and into Southern Maine. 80s sneaking up to Baltimore.

Hmm. Nice catch. Ugh, hate map errors. Sometimes when theres a false spike it gets fixed on the official sites but some sites that print out maps dont adjust to the fix.

Or Could that be another station near there?

Trenton hit, mount holly, some others in NJ.

I'll see if I can contact someone at accuweather and ask.

This..

Front just stalled out over us and Ohio Valley all week this week. But you guys will love this weekend!

Might be that picture perfect Spring weekend. Sunny, breezy, warm in the sun but cool in the shade, not muggy.
