This is the 4th large employer to indicate dire affects, and Malloy indicated the other day he was unaware of that.

Ct has a huge problem, courtesy of its government. If this budget sticks, Ct will need several decades to recover, and Des Moines will, no doubt, go from just behind Hartford in insurance jobs, to many cities ahead of it.

Did you live here at one time and move? Just curious.

I do see the points and they make sense. It just reeks of someone who left the area and is doing the

"see this is why i moved" gloat. If I am wrong i apologize.

Yes, in Milford, still have family there. A few will be getting laid off next quarter. They are already below 2/3rd of their peak salary levels, and it will almost certainly get worse for them.

Oh crud I waa trying to get a job at Hartford. Working at Yale part time. I know if lay offs come be thr first on the chopping block. Yeah this whole new tax thing with hospitals is ridiculous.

They continue to tax excessively the hospitals; think one payed $500 million last year. The money is used to pull the state out of budget, but that isn't happening. In addition, new tax deal trying to pass is tax one hospital in the black at 50% tax hospital in the red at 20%. Take the money collected from the hospital in the black goes to the hospital in the red to hopefully help it's financial struggles. In addition, we cut funding this year to hospitals affecting patient care, hospital's getting new equipment, staffing shortages due to layoffs.

Malloy will sign the budget, he indicated he approves of the budget.

There might be special session but no major chances.

This is Malloy's strategy to reduce traffic in Hartford to disguise the failure of CTfastrak.

I think CT will be okay; at this rate we just need Amazon to increase their warehouse headcount from 500 to 50,000.
