I believe the whole point going into it was to create something that was veto proof. By all accounts in reading the media stories and interviews, it was was done to completely eliminate Malloy from the entire process. If he vetoes it, they'll just override it, wasting even more time.

Agreed, but Themis is not wrong. And its pretty clear the Dems in the legislature are done with him too when they 86'd him from the budget talks. Their actions speak louder than the GOPs words.

I think Malloy is pretty much done at this point. He only has a year left, and the best choice for him is to stay under the radar until the day he leaves office. Christie was kind of like that too.

Great a 1000 page bill rank and file members haven't read yet to be passed tomorrow. I hope this is a decent bill but I fear it may be crap.

Unfortunately the budget does nothing to address the looming state employees/teachers pension situation. Contributions to the plans will continue to increase substantially.
