People run businesses, and yes businesses should be treated with absolute respect. If not, there are other options to locate to.

Businesses have been viewed, via massive tax hikes, as hostages. Now they are fighting back. Long overdue.

I run a business.

I think people should be treated with absolute respect. Businesses are legal formations.

The bill of rights and the Constitution afford rights to people... Not businesses.

I disagree. BOTH should be treated with respect. People need jobs, so states should do all in their power to maintain the most favorable business climate possible. If they fail, corps leaving should lead them to take corrective action.

Balance is what's required. And, sorry, the citizen should be put first.

Corporate taxes should be reasonable and loop-hole free. They shouldn't be so low that they affect the states ability to operate.

Creating a competitive environment between states is a race to the bottom and a net gain of ZERO for the country.

The states with the lowest business taxes tend to lead in job growth and balance their budgets w/o tax hike after tax hike after tax hike (as opposed to this fellow):

States should compete, as they are all better and stronger for it. (Odd how Nutmeggers liked competition as Ct raided Westchester County before Ct added a personal income tax.)

Mehhh, well there was a lot of job growth then it cratered in those states, and now because they got back to where there were before the crash they proclaim "we're fastest growing."

That dog don't hunt.

It's all over the place, but look at the states hardest hit... more job growth since baseline of the nadir of their economy of the economic crisis.

Thanks but, I'm actually thinking more about the last 25 years collectively; not just the recession and recovery.
