If you look at it from the perspective of the quality of life of the bottom 10%, I doubt current spending and where it's targeted gets you anywhere near the happy side of medium. It's really expensive to break the cycle of generational poverty.

But I never said that. You said that, just now. I am however, beginning to wonder if the answer lies with easier access to contraception. I also am beginning to seriously wonder why so many people, across all income demographics, feel such a constant compulsion to have children, especially when nobody EVER looks happier than when Maury Povich says, "You are NOT the father. You can propose all the budget cuts you want here.

You can keep tabs on budget expenditures monthly here

At the beginning of each month contact your state rep and senator and question expenditures.

Be sure to tell them you live in Virginia.

I can tell you firsthand, you can’t throw money at poverty and expect it to diminish. There are a myriad of generational/familial problems in these urban poor neighborhoods that we often inherit from other countries, like South America, the Caribbean islands, etc. which, unfortunately, cannot be controlled by us. I’d change your “really expensive” to “incredibly difficult”. If throwing money at it worked, we’d have zero poverty.

This has nothing to do with me - and don’t forget, I am still a property owner in the state of CT.

Bloomberg reports JP Morgan Chase considering moving thousands NYC jobs to lower COL cities. I wonder how many riding Metro North from Ct work there now.

Alternative cities were mentioned by Chase sources.

If they do it, many likely follow.

Geography matters squat in the internet commercial banking age.

(It is on NYC forum, btw, with links.)

If Dimon had gotten the $1 billion in tax incentives he asked for from DiBlasio, we'd not be hearing of this.

JP Morgan didn't get their $1 Billion, does anyone have a tissue? I'm getting watery eyed.

Well this is interesting. Home sales for September are up 6.7% in Connecticut and home prices are up. Home sales are still down slightly for the year but not as much as first thought. Jay

I should've been more specific. Dimon was trying to shake down the city, was denied, and is now threatening to move the back office jobs. Perhaps he thought he could get some of the money that wasn't being spent on Amazon.
