Bridgeport's 89 is actually the only local place that broke a daily record, theirs was 87 in 2011, 1987 and 1959

BDL missed by only 1 degree (their record of 93 was in 1987)

Central Park just got to 90 on the nose.

We just had a passing shower and some thunder. The temperature is currently 77.

What's the weekend have in store? I'd like to BBQ at least once this weekend.

Saturday best day. Sunday cold front + warm temps = trigger for storms

Saw this posted from earlier in Wolcott of the cell in Winsted. Apparently there was lightning and downpours around there and Hartford earlier.

Impressive looking cloud formation! Didn't see or hear a thing here in New Britain's south end. Still about 69 degrees here now at roughly 2 am.

So GFS remarkably being consistant on showing a Tropical system hitting Florida around the 7th and lately its been taking it up into the NorthEast. Last week it took it OTS from South Carolina. Last run has the 997mb low near Long Island. Tropical Rains and windy condtitions for us if this happens.

Meanwhile Euro consistantly taking it into New Orleans. lets see who's right.

Even with the high of 89° yesterday which was 17 above normal, Bridgeport, BDR monthly temp average is 58.8° which is -0.2 below normal.

Windsor Locks, BDL monthly temp departure went from -0.1 to now above normal at 0.4 for the month.

What ashame that the last 2 or 3 days alone changes the whole perspective of the month when we look back at the departures.

Yeah, Central Park is at -0.1 so it probably will "turn over" today too.

Did a look at all the southern New England and tri-state stations and looks like the only ones between Boston and Philly that are going to stay below normal are JFK Airport and Atlantic City, NJ as both are 1.1 below normal for the month and we'd need an average that is about 30 above normal for today (i.e. a May day of 100 degrees +!) for them to "flip".
