Wow, if the GFS turns out to be right, its going to be a cold snowy March. but we know how that song and long range dance goes. Crops in Florida might be affected too next week. Thats how far the freezing line will go.

Summary for us.
Wed 27th - Rain
Thursday 28th - Thursday 7th - Cloudy scattered snow showers, cold
Saturday March 9th - cold snowstorm
Monday March 11th - seasonable snowstorm

Looks like my veggie seeds are on hold this year.

Roads will be a mess up there Sunday morning...
NH will see half foot too.

I left about 5:45. Little freezing rain from Gorham (due east of Portland) to about the time I got on 495 in Salisbury, MA. Lots of snow in MA (495 and 90), once I got onto 84 it went back to a scattered drizzle. Was fine to drive in.

I was thinking about starting some peppers indoors. Too early?

I think last year I said let's go for it. This year its way too early. Figure 8 weeks from now it will only be April. I'm starting the some pepper seeds next weekend then the rest weekend after. This way if its warm enough in April I'll have a few I started early enough.

Mothers day is typical transplant day in CT.

Light snow falling across the state. Wont mount to much maybe a dusting to 1" as the upper level low moves away and the coastal storm departs.

High pressure moves in so it will be a beautiful day tomorrow. Then we're going to get an ice/rain event Tuesday night & Wednesday. Everyone will be rain Wednesday.

Snow is moving from the north

Not at all according to the models today. Early March looks quite a bit colder than average.

Quick updates:

Huge storm in Central U.S right now (991mb) will head towards great lakes. New Low will develop in the south head upthe coast. Before the warm air gets to us, parts of CT will see mix/ice or all snow like northern tier. "should" change to all rain after midnight. Snow should start after 7pm.

I think Litchfield county especially northern sections will get 4-6" st least tonight. Here's NWS Albanys snow forecast map. North of CT could stay all snow so heads up if your travelling tomorrow morning or tonight
