Hey Cambium, I see you passed your 10,000th post, wow, congratulations!
Thanks, I feel old now. LOL

Yeah, 850mb temps are above freezing so its going to be rain for anyone south of CT/MA border except for areas in Litchfield.

SPC Hourly Mesoscale Analysis

We got more snow chances coming again but can you believe the southeast is about to get a snowstorm in 2 days?

Bristol has had lots of snow this year.... seems always to be one of the higher snow locations for each storm we've had.

Funny thing is was barely scratched in the two recent hurricanes.

Default Snow in Glastonbury

Will the snow still be on the ground around Glastonbury on Friday? My mother said they got 4-5 inches and we are SO LOOKING FORWARD to seeing snow - haven't seen any in 2 years (temporarily live in FL). It will make our family's trip to CT extra special, since we'll be celebrating Christmas with family this weekend, after having my husband in and out of the hospital for the holidays. Folks can complain all they want about New England's cruddy weather - I'll take it any day as long as our family is healthy and we're surrounded by loved ones!

Yeah, watches are already posted from Gulf States to D.C. Should be interesting.

Here's what Upton has to say about it. Keep in mind, Models have trended "north".

A COLD FRONT WILL TRACK ACROSS THE REGION THU EVE. AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE MOVES OFF THE SOUTHEAST/MID ATLC COAST AND TRACKS WELL TO THE SOUTHEAST OF THE BENCHMARK ACCORDING TO OPERATIONAL/ENSEMBLE MEAN SOLUTIONS. WILL HAVE TO KEEP AN EYE ON BACK EDGE OF SNOW AS IT NEARS THE COAST THURSDAY EVENING.

Here's the current surface map, 1 storm exiting now. Another wave coming up along the front, light stuff for later on, maybe ice too.

Then one develops down south and exits south of us. Thats the winter storm for the southeast

Yes. It will likely be bare in spots that see a lot of sun tomorrow and the remainder will be quite compacted, heavy and wet. Don't expect perfect fluffy white stuff but there should be something on the ground.
