That seems to be the Accuweather Radar--- lots of intimidating visuals but not much substance. Just a few claps of thunder and light rain in Wilton, and mostly passed now. My friend in Middletown is having a similar experience.

Some loud storms rolled through now patches of bright sky are visible looking west from downtown Hartford. They left as quickly as they came.

Amazing to see the sea breeze tear apart the line in Fairfield. But not the case in Lichfield and Hartford.

Downed wires have trapped firefighters in a fire truck on Boardman Lane in Middletown CT, CL&P confirms

We'll all be in the clear after 9pm. Enjoy the temp drop.

That's exactly what we had. I am ready to cancel my WTNH weather alert texts, I must have gotten a dozen today.

LOL.

Like i said, they're a useless organization. 7(+) hours of nasty thunder and lightning on Sunday and they didn't say a peep about it.

Today, just a few rumbles and a few raindrops. But batten down the hatches folks! According to them.

Oddly enough, midtown Manhattan is getting crushed. Sideways rain, modest hail and hollywood worthy lightning. Not surprisingly, no formal storm warning. Additionally, the radar isn't overly impressive. What gives?
