This thread is "Will Columbus become largest Ohio metro?"

"Best" is subjective. Some people's ideal living situation is Billings, MT. Some is NYC. Populations of statistical areas is not subjective.

Oh...imaginary government boundaries utilized by politicians and beurocrats aren't subjective? Riiiight...because if the government doesnt say so then its not so...like Cincinnati and Dayton metros merging together....oh...since population is so important to you guys...Cincy is still the biggest metro in the state so we must be better too...well...at least using this sort of convulute logic...but hey...its city data forums and all in fun...plus I love finding any reason to quote Todd Hockney...deuces!

I"ve been waiting half a lifetime for a situation to come up in life where I could use that quote, hasn't happened yet!

...and yes, I imagine the million or so people living in "statistical areas" that are backed right up against Cleveland just might imagine themselves being in a region that includes Cleveland that is much larger than Columbus.

And that "region" would be the.... CSA. Different from MSA. Please do try to keep up.

LOL! You obviously don't know what is being discussed by the title of the thread or you wouldn't keep bringing up impertinent arguments.

I am keeping up.

The Cleveland CSA is far bigger than the Columbus CSA-by the tune of over 1 million and nearly twice as dense. Remember, populations of statistical areas aren't subjective!

So you talk about this topic and what it means to the title of the thread, and a few days after this quoted post you call out other posters. What at all does this have to do with Columbus becoming the largest metro? If we keep moving the goal posts with airports, then why not talk about Fortune 500 companies, cultural amenity investment, etc?

Great questions! I dont have too many answers except c-bus boosters arent exactly logical in their lopsided, cherrypicked data where they try and show that c-bus is the next chicago rising out of the cornfields complete with server farms and strip malls.
