Surprise! They’ve just announced Earth Fare on Devine St. will be reopened by a new group of investors.

Curious if all the previous locations are being reopened or if the investors selected which properties they wanted to resurrect.

Several of the previous locations were acquired by chains like Whole Foods, Winn-Dixie, ALDI, etc.
The new group announced locations in Asheville(westgate), Boone, Roanoke, Athens, Summerville, Rock Hill, and Columbia. Don’t know the eighth city.

The article said another one somewhere in S.C. So four reopen in S.C., three in N.C., and one in G.A.

My NC contact just confirmed the seven I cited, 3 in SC, 2 in NC, 1 in Ga, and 1 in Va. They said an eighth was still being negotiated, speculating it’s likely one in the Charlotte area, since Earth Fare had many locations there previously.
Regardless of how many or where, it’s a win eventually for Columbia!
