I do think the millenials statistic is a bit fishy, but lately Columbia has been noted for having a real estate market that's definitely heating up. I know there was an article in the P&C a few months back about Charleston being a top city for remote workers and it's not farfetched to believe that maybe Columbia is getting some 'overflow' from that.
Yes, Southern First in Greenville will now be the largest SC-based bank with 2 bil. South State had 15 bil, so I’m not sure it matters which bank in SC is the largest. They’re all little.
I like the star inclusion, but the flowy things in the middle really don’t appeal to me. I know they’re suppose to signify the rivers but I really wished there were more of a wing inclusion which would hearken back to John Lewis Gervais famous quote, upon the official naming of Columbia.
So a quick correction, I read Steve Benjamin’s Instagram post on the flag and apparently the flowy things are suppose to signify the rivers and a wing. I can see the wing now, so I can appreciate the flag a bit more. But still... it’s ok. Maybe over time it will become more synonymous with Columbia and identifiable by Columbians.
