How to find out which colleges are using this textbook? (degree, credits)

it's for sociology and I know the name of the textbook but how do I find out which colleges have this same course and teaching it using the same book?

googling on the name of the course, in quotes, gives you a fighting chance of finding the course.

And the words "required text" + (title of book in quotes) should give you some courses around the country.

But probably the simplest way of finding out which colleges have adopted the text in question is to ask the publisher. That won't tell you whether they have the same name of course, but it will get you closer. Then you can check the catalogs for just those colleges.

Why?

Want to buy the textbook and read it and at the same time get credits for it, couldn't do it with a college I planned to take it online course cause I'm out of state, sucks.

Why that particular text book?

And are you working towards a degree somewhere? If so, depending on your college, one way to get credits for having read the book (and learned the subject) would be to take the Sociology CLEP test. Not all colleges give credits for CLEPs, but many do - and CLEPs are cheap.
