Good stuff. The missed tackling and overplaying by the defense was disappointing, but honestly we see that every year. But a truly high-production offense is something we haven't seen at all for 2 years. Feels so good to see that back again!
Okie State seems like a game much more within reach now, can't help but compare them to Ole Miss -- a big-play offense but the QB will get hit hard sometimes, and their defense is nothing special. A productive offense that can keep them off the field and score points is the key to the game.
I think Texas is back, and they're going to have something to say to OU and WVU about their presumptuous claims to the Big12 throne. Maybe some questions on defense, but the offense just rolled, and Ole Miss, while not among the elite SEC teams, was actually showing some signs of improvement - until Texas came in and two-stepped all over their @sses.
Ash looked much better, but he was working against a pretty ordinary secondary. He didn't face much of a pass rush. I think though Ash showed he deserves the spot over McCoy.
The defense was surprisingly vulnerable after the very solid play of the first few series. There is no doubt Texas has the athletes and power.
I think Texas is over ranked as usual this early in the season. Above Stanford in one poll? Pollsters jump on Texas for some reason. And that fuels the overconfidence and lack of hunger that Texas has suffered from the last few years.
The next game in Stillwater will be an important test.
I think Stnadford just jumped from winning against a not that great USC.texas is just rebuilding to what it akes now days to not jusr get to the top ten but actaully win championships;more and more great defense. That is what mnay teams are now doig much like the pro's. Offensemay get to to championships but defense will win those agmes as we have seen the past few decades.

I think UT is going to have to give up those presumptions.
Dont underestimate the Mountaineers. You are a really solid team, but the Mountaineers are known for making big upsets. WVU just might claim that throne, but there a lot of good teams standing in its way.
How is Mack Brown still the coach? This is starting to look a lot like Bowden running FSU into the ground.
