Giraffe and Great Dane items - but not much anymore as there just isn't anymore space to put them!

Also spoons from places visited.

I love American money....

Silver certificates, older coins (90%) silver.

I have most state quarters, both the p & d mint...24c gold plated, platinum, and the p & d not circulated...all encapsulated

I also love the "star" notes...both in the silver certificates and the current dollar bills...

Error notes are fun also, but hard to come about....

I have a Iowa state quarter that is off-set by 1/4 (1/4 is blank) and that is where the picture starts...really cool....

I also have a 2 dollar bill that is made of silver, an actual sized 2 dollar bill.

I have an un-cut sheet of 4, 2 dollar bills that I had mounted in a frame that was about 2.5 inches deep, the sheet is attached to the glass and behind (on the back wall) the sheet is a mirror so you can see the backs of the bills....

I'll second that one. Long gone are the days of collecting notebooks and candles ...

I had forgotten all about this thread. Glad to see it's still alive - and I'm impressed with what everyone is collecting.

Bookmarks are a great thing to collect because there are so many different kinds. I have a bunch that are inside books that I've read and the great thing is for me, they are easy to store bcuz they fit so nicely in the book.... I also want to add that I like you User name, I am a retired local phone company employee

Wow you are lucky music is a beautiful thing and I also play the violin but sadly I had to sell my only violin years ago to pay for a divorce from an abusive husband and to get my boys a home .. I love the violin . good to meet a fellow music lover .

Violin was the first instrument I ever played, and I love it, but I've always had a predilection for the bass instruments. I play fretless electric bass professionally, and have played traditional-jazz ("Dixieland") tuba in the past.
