The old gas station at the corner of Portertown Rd and Eastern Pines Rd has been leased out. There is a hair stylist there and a pool/hot tub type store.
Also there is a multi story building going up at the northeast corner of Arlington Blvd and West 5th St. It may be another corner along West 5th but it's right in that area.
You know, I'm sure I caught them on bad days, but I haven't been impressed in my 3 visits. The food was good but all three times they were out of items on the menu - common items. Every time the service has been slow and once, a friend eating with us found a piece of paper still on the cheese slice on her burger.
I'm still going to give them another shot but they're running out of lives in my book. Has anyone else had similar experiences?
I've had poor experiences there as well. Not terrible but always very slow, especially for the basic food quality which did not seem to be set apart from most everything else is town. Although there presentation is equal to fast food at best so it's hard to tell sometimes.
I see Charlotte, Concord, and Asheville above Greenville, but still cool.
Ditto. That is good company to keep. Keep this thing rolling down hill! We need ECU's millennial co-ops and the economic development offices (city & county) to drive new business.
Whatever came of the branding and marketing consult the city paid for?

You answered your own question. We Find Ourselves in Good Company.
Confirmed today at ECU meeting that a Hilton will go in the planned spot across from the parking deck. I don't know a time table but it was discussed while discussing the ECU one stop shop building and parking deck.

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing!
I'm also trying to figure out what's going in the old Dunkin Donuts on memorial. We saw work vans over there again today the door was also open.
