A Hilton full service or a Hilton Garden Inn? I'd heard that a HGI was going there initially
I'm not sure...didn't get that much info The ECU Student Services building will be 3 floors though along with parking deck (which has already been discussed here).
Haven't posted in a while, just wanted to say I ate at the Blackened Kraken and it was very good. Cajun themed menu...it was great to get a decent crab cakes sandwich in Greenville.
Also, I haven't been to Bubbas in about a year but I thought it was a solid burger.
Can't wait for someone to yell 'Publix' for that spot next door to Hobby Lobby. You know someone's gonna do it
Sixty-two thousand five hundred square feet would be large for a Publix. Most new Publix stores I have noticed are 45,600 or 49,098 square feet in size. I could see a different retailer expanding across eastern North Carolina with a Greenville store: Academy Sports and Outdoors.

Wouldn't the market be a bit over saturated with sports stores?
What is this three story ECU Student Services Building w/ parking deck and where will it go?
Reade St & in between E. 5th and 4th streets. It will hold all the student administrative functions around campus..ie: UG Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Cashiers Office, Veteran Affairs, Graduate School admissions, etc. This building & the new student center will free up a lot of space around main campus. The Hilton Garden Inn (if that is what it ends up being) would be across the street behind Sup Dogs.
I wonder how long the Stop Shop / Sup Dogs building will make it after all this development takes place? That is a good spot that could really be so much better. Sup Dogs just invested in a covered deck so I guess any sort of renovation there would be quite some time down the road.
Also of note, this is the first I've heard of this: The old Bank of America building on 1st street. Heard a rumor today that they were wanting to develop some sort of retirement apartments / community with that area. Not sure if that is legit or not but found it interesting none the less.
