Cleveland should get the Dems and Columbus the GOP... not that I would like the GOP in Columbus, but it would be a great economic boost, and it would be great for Ohio to have both.

For being such a swing state, you would think either or both of these parties would meet in Ohio. The Dems should meet in Cleveland, but CLE will take the GOP if they will come as well.

The Cleveland Museum of Natural History raises nearly $39 million and plans expansion start in 2016 | cleveland.com

Sounds like it's time to bring another Cleveland institution to the forefront of world class. A makeover for the Museum of Natural History has been long overdue. Definitely some great news, hope the momentum never stops

The much talked about renovation of Playhouse Square has begun ... The first of four very large bronze Gateway Arches was installed at the intersection of Huron and Prospect. The Worlds largest outdoor "Crystal Chandelier" dubbed the GE Chandelier will be officially dedicated and illuminated in a ceremony on May 2nd. There have also been new marquees erected over the Palace and Ohio Theaters. I am personally thrilled about this $16 million transformation.

Yeah, I have mixed feelings about that one. On the one hand it will be an iconic addition to our theater district, on the other hand some of that is tax money that could have been better spent helping some of the neighborhoods. Downtown is important, but we have to be careful where we spend money, and should limit unnecessary things like this until the higher priority issues in the city are tackled.

How much of it is actually publicly funded? I thought GE was picking up quite a bit of the tab.
