Default Cleveland's abnormally warm 2018-19 winter

Daily highs and lows generally have been abnormally high.

Why a Warming Arctic May Be Causing Colder U.S. Winters

Quote:
“Warm temperatures in the Arctic cause the jet stream to take these wild swings, and when it swings farther south, that causes cold air to reach farther south. These swings tend to hang around for awhile, so the weather we have in the eastern United States, whether it’s cold or warm, tends to stay with us longer,"
Quote:
Bastos cautioned that the link between a warmer Arctic and harsher U.S. winters was more complex than a simple cause and effect mechanism. Weather patterns can be notoriously unpredictable, and other factors such as soil health and farming practices can impact crop growth.

Good. I've always dreamed of warmer winters but without having to move to the (relatively) culturally-impoverished Sunbelt. So maybe Sunbelt weather is coming to me instead. Thus proving that thoughts are things and consciousness creates reality.

Just curious ... have you ever actually BEEN to the "Sunbelt", or are you just going by stereotypes?

Have you ever been to the Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland's PlayhouseSquare, or seen the Cleveland Orchestra perform at Severance Hall or Blossom Music Center?

I know friends who have traveled through the South extensively visiting art museums and they say that few compare in quality to those found in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Youngstown and Toledo, plus Ohio has several excellent regional and university museums. Exceptions might be the High Museum of Art in Atlanta or the new Walton family-financed Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville, Arkansas.

The High Museum of Art lags well behind the Cleveland Museum of Art, an encyclopedic museum, in almost any metric, including free general admission and one of the largest endowments among American art museums.

Here's an interesting recent study:
Contemporary climatic analogs for 540 North American urban areas in the late 21st century

And the interactive app:

At current emissions levels, in 2080 they predict that the climate in Cleveland will be most like ...

*drumroll*
