If you want laughter, go with what I've done for the last year... EVERY night at 8:30, get into bed and hit "GO" on Netflix, The Andy Griffith Show!

Completely off topic, but the funniest show ever on TV was IMO "The Beverly Hillbillies." Man, am I getting old. Not sure it would be as funny today. "Modern Family" and especially "Life in Pieces" crack me up today.

Cleveland Clinic London
So if you are a UK resident, is the Cle Clinic London free?

As I understand, wealthy residents in Canada and the U.K., both with nationalized healthcare, often will head to places such as the Cleveland Clinic rather than be put on a wait list for specialized surgery/treatment.

We have something like that in the U.S. E.g., Medicare has a rather high hurdle for cataract surgery. My opthamologist says some patients pay for the surgery themselves rather than wait to qualify for Medicare.

Good question. I know they have alternative private health care for more wealthy people who can afford private health insurance premiums. I correspond with a friend in the U.K., I’ll ask her.

Sounds like the project was a success. Plus 400 new residents in the neighborhood!

I very much like the look of Edison and anytime you can bring in 400 residents, many or most likely not formerly within the City's borders, onto formerly derelict, decaying industrial land, it's a great thing. Even though the complex, like its similar, successful, nearly built-out neighbor, Battery Park, Edison is oriented to Edgewater Park & beach and the Lake, it is several blocks from the Gordon Square Arts district so it's a bit cul-de-sac-y/isolated within the City. Battery Park does have a few on-site restaurants, including one in the adjacent Shoreway Lofts adapted ex-factory building near the tunnel to the beach. But there's not the fuller range of services the more urban-oriented Gordon Arts retail strip, along Detroit Ave, possesses.

Edison, like Battery Park, also lacks convenient, accessible mass transit. Maybe the latter will be addressed at some point.
