I said WOW myself when I went back to Austin last summer after 5yrs. Austin's skyline is something else. They injected Austin with steroids.

I would have to agree about Austin. I'm not sure why it wasn't included on the poll. It's changed DRASTICALLY over the past ten years and the construction hasn't showed any signs of slowing down.

How many total buildings has it added and what are the heights? Just want to make a comparison with my home city of Charlotte. Austin wasn't included because all Texas cities weren't included for the sake of avoiding is Texas Southern debate.

If you can still get grits at breakfast (which you can), then Miami still has remnants of its roots.

lol! That's probably a good idea other wise you risk the chance the thread being derailed to that topic. Yeah just say Southeast cities, then you exclude Texas. I'm not sure about the total height, but the tallest one they've added so far is the Austonian which is about 830 ft.

Yeah, I heard the architecture on that thing is absolutely stunning. I'm not sure how many buildings Austin has added but I've heard the skyline is expanding.

It's 683 ft actually:

Austonian tops out at 683 feet (http://impactnews.com/central-austin/recent-news/5682-austonian-tops-out-at-683-feet - broken link)

The proposed T.Stacy tower would be Austin's first 800 footer, if it ever happens:

AUSTIN | T. Stacy 2 Towers| 820 FT | 66 FLOORS | 420 FT/128 M | 32 FLOORS - SkyscraperCity
