Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson has 151 domestic, 28 international; when the new international terminal opens, all of these will be domestic. Not sure how many additional gates the new terminal will have.
There are 121 gates at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). LAX is broken up into small terminals with 15 gates usually the max per terminal. This has constrained several airlines from being able to grow, such as Southwest Airlines. SWA would like more gates, but US Airways controls 25% of the gates in Southwest's terminal, preventing SWA from growing signifigantly at LAX.

Ah, what bad memories of that airport. Last year I was stuck in that airport for over 12 hours straight due to a winter storm. It took us 2 days to get back to NYC
