What cities do you guys think have the best smaller, secondary airports, such as Midway Airport in Chicago or Love Field in Dallas?

Laguardia, Newark, National (Ronald Reagan), Orange County (John Wayne), Oakland all jump to mind along with those, probably all ahead of either Midway or Love, though Midway is also very good especially if you are using Southwest

Edit: Forgot Ft Lauderdale

oh and a smaller which is very convienient to the Western burbs of Boston is Providence

I like Midway because it's so close to Downtown Chicago. BWI is sort of DC's secondary airport too, almost more so than National.

But Love Field is ok too. I fly Southwest, so I use these secondary airports more often (but now SW goes to most big airports too).

I like Dallas's Love Field because of its close proximity to downtown and uptown Dallas, and it's a decent airport in terms of cleanliness and amenities.

New York's LaGuardia is by far the worst. I have very unpleasant experiences of flying into and out of LGA several times per year, and I can't stand it. LGA is generally dirty, there isn't an adequate amount of seating, the food selection is abysmal, etc.

National - 10 minute ride to DT DC via the Metro, beautiful terminal, and great restaurants

Reagan National would be D.C.'s third largest airport by boardings:

1. Washington Dulles (Mainly for DMV Virginia Suburb residents) (ranked #20 in U.S. 2009)
2. Baltimore Washington International (Mainly for DMV Maryland Suburbs residents) (ranked #22 in U.S. 2009)
3. Reagan Washington National (Mainly for DMV D.C. residents) (ranked #26 in U.S. 2009)

We are very fortunate to have 3 major airports that support different regions in our metro area instead of just one really really big airport for a whole metro area. What a nightmare that would be.

I really like Long Beach airport. Small, great views of mountains, no hassle. I also really like Boeing field in Seattle. I got to fly into their one time from Portland and it almost feels like you're landing in downtown.
