Ok, I'm looking up the locations of high-end stores in each area, here are my results:

Tiffanys--
NYC metro: 9
Dallas metro: 2

Bloomingdales:
NYC metro: 11
Dallas metro: 0

Abercrombie (not that high-end, but expensive):
NYC metro: 26
Dallas metro: 8

Prada:
NYC metro: 4
Dallas metro: 0

Luis Vuitton:
NYC metro: 7
Dallas metro: 3

Juicy Courture:
NYC metro: 8
Dallas metro: 2

Dolce:
NYC metro: 9
Dallas metro: 1

...It's quite clear who the winner is. And by the way, MORE THAN HALF the locations I found for NYC metro were in the suburbs.

Yeah people underestimate NYC too much.

What you just did was prove a point that NO ONE here was arguing. Anyone would have to be ignorant to think that any city would have more high-end stores than New York. So I'm not sure who you're trying to prove wrong here.

Look at my list of high-end stores. There are a couple that aren't in Dallas.

Well first off, on page 16, Everest Climb said: "There is nothing exciting about shopping in NYC"

And then landarron said on page 17: "
What Possibly New York City have that Dallas, Atlanta, and Houston don't have!" (This kid types like he's 12 years old).

So I just proved that not only does NYC have a few more high-end stores that aren't found in Dallas, but TONS more. And I found that about 60% of the stores are in the suburbs, mostly Long island.

By the way, it's so funny how these people who say such ridiculous claims get soooo quiet and never respond back to you when you and others prove them wrong. They're so hell bent that they're right, and are usually always wrong.

I didn't say boutiques or department stores. I said "names". Meaning that ALL the big luxury labels are sold somewhere in the Dallas area. Manolo Blahnik, Prada, Ferragamo, Marc Jacobs, Hermes, Yves Saint Laurent, just to name a few. VERY FEW. They just won't be found in great numbers as NY.

Apparently there aren't any Pradas or Bloomingdales there.

Lastly, there are more fashion trends that are from NYC that other people adapt.

Also when New Yorkers are out of town they are easily spotted by the way they dress. So no city really has a unique style lately? I disagree.
Actually every city does, people are starting to wear plad shirts again, that was started by westcoast gangters, and now they're coming back in style, so ALOT of places are trendsetters. When white tees and tall tees were popular, that style came from the south.

I believe there used to be a Bloomingdale's in Dallas and it's supposed to be coming back, but I don't think Dallasites missed it considering all the other department stores they have to choose from.

There's a Prada in Houston, but no there isn't one in DFW for whatever reason. But I guarantee you Prada is sold at countless locations throughout the Metroplex.

There aren't many very high-end household/furniture stores anywhere, so no, I doubt you can get tons of high-end stores like that in Dallas.
