Why does LA have so many votes? Is it their ability to completely ignore one basketball team and their hockey team? Being well known for coming to Dodgers games in the 3rd inning and leaving in the 7th? Being such bad football fans that the NFL wont risk another football team in the second largest market in the US?

Oh please! Put Raleigh as an option, and all of the shameless NC boosters would vote for that over any other city.

I found this link on another thread:
Parade of Problems: Traffic & Transit Gridlocked | NBC Philadelphia

After reading this and looking at the picture, Philadelphia is a big sports town. (Too many people--the whole city--went crazy for a baseball team's parade and shut down the city.)

A ton of people I know skipped school and work today to head two hours down the PA Turnpike to Philly for the festivities. The Phillies have a HUGE fan base. People always overlook Philadelphia, and I honestly don't know why. It's a great city to visit. I'm heading down there in just over twelve hours to see a Coldplay concert (and perhaps eat at a cool restaurant!)

People who get in fights at sport games are morons and should be arrested and made to do community service or worse.
It's just a game. And the players and team should not be put on some sort of pedistal.
Team spirit, proud of the team and city, yelling, getting drunk at games, laughing is all fine. Hitting people, stupid. There is no way the players and team that sports fans drool over would ever approve hurting anyone. And if they do, they're bigger buttheads than I thought.

Why does it always have to be about Football? When it comes to Basketball and Hockey we sure do kick ass in those but Football is this why LA isn't a Big Sports city?I Think a big sport city is city that has a good team in every kind of sport not just Football. The Only reason LA has so Many Votes is b/c we have a good B-ball and Hockey team.A City doesn't need a Football Team to Be a Big Sport City.

Since the "Big Four" leagues are truly the "Big Bucks" of American sports, you have to consider that only 13 metro areas currently support the media, money and hype of those four leagues:
